ABOUT

It all started with a few family vacations and one eye-opening conversation.  In 2023, our family enjoyed two unforgettable trips—one on a cruise with nearly 20 of us and another to the mountains of Massanutten. Somewhere between laughter, late-night talks, and quality time, a casual observation changed the course of our lives.  Someone pointed out that, in just a couple of months, we had spent nearly $20,000 on vacations. That single moment sparked a powerful question:  What if we invested that kind of money into something that could build legacy, wealth, and opportunity for our family and our community?  That spark lit the fire behind the Lewis Family Investment Group, which officially came to life in March 2024. Just one month later, we signed the lease on our first venture—Studio Heir.

From the beginning, we envisioned more than just a business—we wanted a space full of energy, culture, movement, and connection. A place where the community could gather, grow, and dance. In November 2024, we launched our first line dance class, hoping for the best.

And... it was rough. Some nights, only two people showed up. Other times, no one at all. But we stayed the course, trusting the process, committed to our vision, and pouring our hearts into every class—no matter the size.  Fast forward to March 2025, and we’re dancing in a whole new rhythm.  Every single one of our classes is SOLD OUT, with people booking spots weeks (even months) in advance. What once felt like a hopeful dream is now a thriving movement.

But it didn’t stop with classes. Our energy started catching on—and soon, we were being booked all over the DMV to bring the fun to private line dance requests, brunches, corporate events, and more. Some of our favorite bookings so far include:

  • Fox 5 Good Day DC with Marissa Mitchell

  • First Baptist Church of Glenarden Love Notes, where we taught line dancing to 300 couples

  • Lincoln Property Group

  • Black & Lit Candle Co. in Waldorf, MD

  • CeeCee’s Bar in Clinton, MD

  • DMV Does Social Networking Group

  • DMV Divas Deep Creek Explosion

  • And countless private events, parties, and corporate gatherings

The love and momentum have been surreal—and we’re just getting started.
